Ram Celebrates 75 Years of the Power Wagon

Nov 12, 2020
Ram is celebrating 75 years of the Power Wagon name today by releasing a new special edition truck, aptly named the Power Wagon 75th Anniversary edition. In addition to a unique grille, a bunch of bespoke badging, and a selection of exclusive colors, it also gets a couple of useful upgrades sourced from the Hellcat-powered 1500 TRX.

While there’s no 702-horsepower supercharged V-8 under the hood of the Power Wagon 75th Anniversary edition, the truck does get beadlock-capable wheels that measure 17 inches in diameter (one fewer inch versus the TRX), as well as Ram’s "off-road pages," a selection of data read-outs from the infotainment system that shows things like ride height, pitch, roll, and even transfer case position. Matched with the truck’s unique lifted suspension, locking front and rear differentials, an electronically disconnecting front sway bar, and 12,000-pound winch, it should make for one seriously capable off-roader.

Inside, the truck gets a unique brown leather interior, paired with gloss black trim and a brushed aluminum radio surround piece. There are also "Power Wagon 75" logos on the seats and door inserts.

Like the standard Power Wagon, the 75th Anniversary edition should be available exclusively with the brand’s 410-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Ram says the Power Wagon 75th Anniversary edition will start at $65,250, plus a destination charge of $1695. Deliveries are expected to begin by the end of 2020.
